Post-countdown thoughtsMil has been bugging me for updates for helluva long time now, so I think I better do some obliging. After all, it -is- a new year... and with it, we're all supposed to have resolutions to make us better persons, aye? Which means - less procrastination, more prompt action. Not that this is actually my NY resolution, mind you. :P Actually, I did have the urge to blog a fair few times during this two months of absence. Goodness knows there have been enough events to write bout. But seeing how (for some of the happenings) my participation was only due to me being a spectator... thus, wouldn't be too nice for me to blog bout it in public too. Also, some of the said happenings weren't those to chirp bout - and I didn't really want to inject too much gloom into this site. And, as per usual, having left so much unsaid during the time that has passed, it has become too late/redundant for me to describe them. So I'll just blab bout what comes to mind. How was your NYE? :) I had a good time - actually went for a seafood meal down at Sembawang, which was utterly delish. =) After that, I headed down to Orchard Parade hotel to spend the last night of 2002 with some friends. And what with the wisecracks and corny jokes, squishing, laughter and pigging out, I dare say it was a pretty fun night. There wasn't even a single drop of alcohol ingested by yours truly. :) One tragic thing is that most people didn't get one wink of sleep last night tho'. ;) Especially those who slept on the floor, and landed right beside the highly talented noise pollutants - both orally and anally. *grin* Good thing I got the bed. =) And now I sit here, roasted pink (from a short pseudo-tanning session) - about to start work tomorrow. Many people have asked me if I'm nervous - to which I answered "no". Wasn't lying then - mainly cuz I didn't devote much thought to it. Was more because I was rushing to buy work clothes (was depressed at the idea of me not being able to don my cartoon t-shirts as often anymore :P), etc. Now, with most things prepared, and having time to think bout it - and not really knowing what to expect, cuz - as most of my closer friends would know - I have never worked one day in my life. I'll answer the question differently now. :/ . o O declared Lid at 6:46:00 AM |
